Colleen is a transplant from Chicago bringing with her several years of experience working in community mental health, non-profits and education.  After completing her Masters Degree at Governors State University, she focused her energy on developing her therapeutic style and learning about the best modalities to support the goals of her clients.  Colleen serves those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, self-harm, body image, life transitions, sex and relationships, self-esteem and family conflict.  She is especially equipped to work with individuals struggling with eating disorders, LGBTQIA+ related issues, and erotically marginalized communities (Kink/Poly/ENM/BDSM+ Knowledgeable).

2018-Present

Clinical Therapist

Private practice clinician serving individuals, couples and families struggling with eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, , anxiety disorders, LGBTQIA+ related issues, and mood disorders.  Provided group therapy to adolescents and adults in DBT skills training.

2017-2019

Therapist

Individual and family therapist for adults at the residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient level of care.  Serving individuals struggling with eating disorders, self-harm, trauma and substance abuse.  Group facilitator for DBT skills groups, behavioral activation, body image, ACT and RODBT.

2014-2017

Behavioral Health Counselor

Group facilitator and milieu management at the inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient level of care.  Working with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, substance abuse and mood disorders.
